Strategic Marketing Using MapObjects
Carl AndrewsA custom client/server application was written using MapObjects in Delphi to interact with an SQL Server database along with local database files. The application assists users in selling ZIP Code territories to business affiliates for routing sales leads over the Internet. It also assists in targeting which affiliates to enroll in the program. The application involves complex interactions among counties, states, and ZIP Codes in mapping layers and numerous tables in both the corporate RDBMS and auxiliary demographic data. Such an application could only be feasible with the high degree of customization made possible by a tool such as MapObjects.
