Departmental Data Management of Extracts from an Enterprise Data Warehouse

This paper will address managing data warehouse transfers to departmental servers to provide data subsets and aggregates that conform to the use patterns of the department. It will include a discussion of the organizational and technical structure of the data warehouse, the process departments use to update the enterprise data warehouse, the methodology used to derive functionally specific coverages from data supersets, and the delivery of current data combinations to departments. The paper will also address the integration and autonomy of metadata at the enterprise level and the department level.
