Building a Baseball Stadium Using GIS
J. Patrick MooreArcView GIS was used to schedule the construction of the new Pacific Northwest Baseball Park. Avenue scripts were developed to link scheduling database information to ArcView GIS, thus creating maps of the construction sequence. Avenue/Dialog Designer was also used to develop methods for accessing and analyzing data pertaining to changes in design, the placing of precast elements, requests for information, quantities and costs, and other construction management information. The results are presented in map form. 3D Analyst was used to create a three-dimensional visual database of the new stadium.
