Yoram ChisikEnvironmental cleanup and monitoring operations generate a tremendous amount of data that have to be managed and analyzed in order to effectively manage and coordinate the cleanup and monitoring operations. ENVEIS, developed by SEMCOR Inc. for the Naval Air Warfare Station at Lakehurst, New Jersey, combines ArcInfo and ArcView GIS with an Oracle7 relational database to provide a powerful data management and query tool for environmental program managers. The paper will detail the development of the system and its unique set of features.
