Implementation of a GIS/Web Application for Accessing Transportation

As technology advances, more efficient ways are developed to distribute information. At the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), we are working to develop an information management infrastructure that will use Internet technologies to make quality information available in a timely manner. One of most exciting projects underway is the development of applications using ArcView IMS to provide a GIS/Web-based user interface to transportation facility usage statistics. This session will focus on the real-world experiences of data development and integration, GDOT's approach to a route systems-based LRS, and applications development in a production environment.
