Using MapObjects and IMS To Deliver Salmon Status Information Through the Internet Paper Text

Doug Reece

StreamNet is a project with a purpose of providing information on the status of salmon in the northwest. The project has developed an online query system available through the Internet that provides tabular and spatial presentations of data. The system was developed using MapObjects, IMS, Microsoft SQL Server, and Delphi. The query programs run as Windows NT services and are distributed over three server class machines. The system will also be designed to run stand-alone on CD-ROM. The paper will address the techniques and challenges of using MapObjects and IMS in a query system of large river coverages.
