The Performance Mapping Module: Mapping Enterprise Data on the Internet

The Performance Mapping Module shows the location of several categories of HUD projects throughout the entire United States via the Internet. The requirements were ambitious: street-level mapping, demographic shading, and geocoding for any area in the fifty states. We will describe the steps that we took to bring this system from the requirements stage to completion, the design decisions we made, and give possible alternative approaches. We will also describe the various components of the system and the various COTS products used to build our system. We will conclude with a description of planned enhancements and modifications to the system.
