A GIS-Based Inventory of Potential Brownfield Supplies

Brownfields are abandoned, idle, or underused industrial or commercial sites, where expansion or redevelopment is complicated by known or suspected contamination problems. This research aims to determine the geography and the estimated amount of potential brownfield supplies. Resulting products will include maps showing the geography and estimated amount of potential brownfield supplies. These maps will be generated using an inventory method based on a historical database within an ArcInfo environment.
