HIS - A Hydrographic Information System for the Swedish and Finnish Maritime Administrations

The HIS will manage the hydrographic data for the Swedish and Finnish Maritime Administrations. Information management includes metadata management, multiple scales management, and history management. An ENC production line is provided, with ENC cell management capabilities (cell definition and EN/ER production). Output ENC files have been tested in ECHO sea trials. Work flow control is implemented for all modifications to the database. The database is defined in geographical coordinates, and import/export functionality includes datum conversion and projection transformations. Advanced editing, linking, and quality control tools ensure data integrity.
