The Role of GIS for the Management of Air Quality Programs
Mohan BalagopalanThe paper will focus on the development of applications utilizing GIS for the management of air quality programs at a local air pollution regulatory agency. The utilization of GIS enables the agency to communicate and provide information to the public, assist in the development of rules and regulation, assess the impact of air pollution on a microscale level, and have a decision making tool.
