Application Integration with CORBA/Java/WWW/SDE

This paper will discuss DEHAA's implementation of an online integrated inquiry system for its land related information. It utilizes Java at both server and applet level, as well as CORBA, WWW, and Esri SDE technologies including a Java-SDE interface, and a CORBA object wrapper over a legacy COBOL title and valuation system. Integrated inquiries across spatial, textual, and image systems are achieved in a scalable enterprise-level system to the benefit of internal and external customers. Security, accounting, and charging are important components of the system.
