Radio Telephony Management Using GIS: An Indonesian Case
Agung PrabowoRadio telephony management comprises radio station planning management, marketing customer management, and radio maintenance management. In this kind of management, GIS is used intensively. The system is developed by using ArcView GIS Version 3.0 with Avenue programming environment. This system has the capability of determining the "best" radio station, managing the marketing process, because the client position is very important in radio telephony. This program analyzes if the customer area is feasible or not. This program then also analyzes whether the stations are technically in good condition or not. This system is connected to a data warehouse (developed in Oracle). Spatial analysis is the heart of this kind of application.
