Development of a GIS-Based DSS for Planners Based on Vehicular Pollution
Preetha MahadevanThis project aims at developing a decision support system, which will be used by all planners - urban, environmental, health, transportation, and so forth. The objective is to develop a template of information using the available vehicular data for the City of Madras and calculate the dispersions of pollutants. This also uses the EPA model ISCST3 within ArcInfo. This can be used to assess the damage caused as well as plan so as to reduce damage caused to men and material through vehicular pollution.
