GIS-Based Student Allocation Management System Using ArcInfo

Allocation of students to a strategic institution for their studies is time-consuming especially for the management of a large group of students such as distance learning courses. A big number of factors, spatial and nonspatial , need to be taken into consideration before allocating the students. Factors include distance, transportation, facilities, and so forth. This research will focus on the problems facing the current student allocation system and will highlight solutions using ArcInfo to support the management of student allocation, taking into consideration the spatial and nonspatial factors. A conceptual model of the system will also be presented.
