UNIX Versus Windows NT - A Windows NT Buying Guide and Comparison Paper Text

Microsoft Windows NT offers a number of advantages over UNIX platforms, but how does one go about buying a Windows NT computer that is suitable for ArcInfo? There are specification marks to compare between UNIX and PC computers, but do they really mean anything? Unfortunately, there is no definitive source about how this varied hardware can be compared. This paper will present the results of a benchmark of ArcInfo commands run across a variety of computer platforms and will provide advice on buying a Windows NT machine.
