Experiences on the Conception, Definition, and Implementation of Colombia's Health Map

Colombia's Health Map consists of applications developed originally in ArcView Version 2, now migrated to ArcView GIS Version 3.0. The second phase of the project is the redefinition and installation of the database and graphical applications in thirty-three regional offices at Colombia's state level. The application has personalized queries to manage centralized databases containing geographical, economic, social, demographic, medical, and epidemiological information at the county, state, and national level. It also includes an application to manage AM/FM information of national and regional-level hospitals and other health facilities.
