Database Design Issues for the Integration of ArcInfo with Hydraulic Analysis Applications

This presentation will discuss the database requirements that are necessary to successfully share data between ArcInfo and the Stoner Workstation Service (SWS). One of the most demanding applications for GIS data, hydraulic analysis is possible only when strict topology is enforced and nearly perfect data accuracy is planned as part of the GIS implementation process. The design issues for several integration efforts will be examined, along with software and strategies used to accomplish the bidirectional transfer of information.
