SitMap Editor as a Standard Tool for Tactical Situation Map Presentations Suitable for All Services and Branches in an Armed Forces Organization

The SitMap Editor is a stand-alone application intended for creating and viewing situation maps. The basic functionality regarding maps (zooming, panning, turning layers off and on, scale, measuring distances, etc.) is included, but the purpose of the application is to have a tool to display military-oriented information on top of maps. It is very easy to create and display a situation map including troop symbols, simple and complex lines, filled areas, and texts. The SitMap Editor was the first program developed with MapObjects and GeoPres API. Initially, but not any longer, it was mostly a testing platform for the API.
