What Is EOD IS in GeoPres?
Major Bjorn LiszkaThe Explosive Ordnance Disposal Information System (EOD IS) became operational in April 1996. It provides UXO identification, suggests best RSPs, performs risk calculations and produces progress reports. EOD IS is used in Bosnia, the Baltic, and west Sahara. In response to operational feedback an enhanced version is nearing completion. A vital component is an integrated geographical representation of the EOD database of existing minefields and cleared areas assuring accuracy in EOD planning, operations, and reporting. This presentation will show how geographical information implemented as MapObjects components in EOD IS will be used by Swedish mine clearing teams.
