Geographic Allocation for Medical Management
Robert C. PierceThis presentation will describe the process used by Kaiser Permanente to allocate geographical units to specific medical centers throughout Southern California. As part of a budget and resource allocation process, the role of GIS technology will be described. Using minimum drive time calculations, illustrations of how the process works and the steps involved will be provided. The presentation will also describe the mix of GIS tools that make up the geographic allocation solution.
