BodyViewer - Creating Innovative Ways To Visualize Clinical and Administrative Health Care Information Using GIS
Chris AustinThe presentation will illustrate how clinical and administrative information used within health care organizations and practices can be visually enhanced using an ArcView GIS extension called BodyViewer. Topics that will be covered in the presentation include a description of the ICD-9 classification system, methodologies used to link ICD-9 codes to maps, and how a wide variety of health and health care organizations can enhance their presentations. The presentation will cover how both private and public health organizations can dramatically increase the informational value of large amounts of clinical data based upon ICD-9 coding.
