Managed Care Network Evaluation

In order to better serve customers CorVel Corporation must have its workers' compensation health care providers geographically accessible. Using ArcView GIS Version 3.0 with GeoHealth Inc.'s PatientAccess ArcView GIS extension, CorVel can evaluate their network of providers. The presentation will describe the process by which new service locations are evaluated and the analysis, which is performed to identify gaps or overlaps in geographical coverages. The methodologies by which employees of current and potential clients are matched against CorVel's network of providers will be presented. Illustrations of how GIS is used to retain current clients and sign up new ones will be shown.
