GeoPres Information Strategy
Goran MartensonThe Swedish Armed Forces has decided to use GeoPres as the enterprisewide system for geographic information. The information strategy is to inform as often as possible and in many different ways. One of the first things we did was to create trademarks. We have established a Web site containing information, FAQs, a discussion forum, and possibilities to load extensions, and so forth. Furthermore the GeoPres information group established an information brochure both in Swedish and English. This brochure is widely available both within the organization and to the civilian society. We participate in seminars, conferences, and so forth. Within the GeoPres concept we have a well-organized education program. This is also an opportunity to give information about GeoPres. But of most importance is that you have user-friendly and useful applications and manuals.
