Application of GIS for Improved Real Estate Analysis

This presentation will cover the current status of geographic information systems to the real estate sector. The presentation will consist of a series of live demonstrations of how GIS is being used to organize, manage, and analyze a wide range of data sources relevant to the appraisal, taxation, and sale of property. This will include applications of assessor's records, census information and multiple listing services. Of particular interest will be the use of multimedia, global positioning systems, Internet access, and remote sensing to enhance the use of GIS.
