A rural county government GIS program (15,000 parcels) is mapping legal descriptions by coordinate geometry. Four programs were considered including ArcInfo, AutoCAD, and other programs. The chosen program, run via Visual Basic, automates mapping with the ability to easily update parcel maps as section corners are resurveyed.
