Classic business GIS application methods historically have been almost strictly vector-based, save for the occasional raster/image underlay dressing up an otherwise ordinary thematic map. ArcView Spatial Analyst brings raster analysis methods to the desktop. This presentation will demonstrate methods of applying raster analysis to site selection, service demand, and other classic business GIS applications. The notions of creating opportunity pockets and data broadcasting will be discussed.
