The purpose of this research is to evaluate the hydroperiod of a restored wetland in the Loblolly Marsh Wetland Preserve in Jay County, Indiana. GIS applications have been developed within ArcView GIS and ArcInfo. These processes utilize a calculated runoff curve number from a Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) linked Visual Basic form. Also with the established hypsometry from Global Positioning System (GPS) units and survey data of the case study site, the applications predict the storage of water in a depressional wetland based on the amount of rainfall per storm event and the watershed characteristics.
