Spanish regional authorities are installing an application developed by SEMA GROUP that will be used for forest fire management. This is a planning tool with the ability to simulate wind, humidity, cloud coverage, temperature, fuel models, natural risks, socioeconomic risks, historical weather and fires, and resources configuration. The system provides the user with GIS functionalities able to study the complete evolutions of the fires, from studying the initial points to the damage caused and the fire fighting efficiency. The objective is to make thousands of simulations run, producing reports that give the idea of the average results that can be expected.
