The purpose of this project is to create a South Texas Interactive Nursing Geographic Information System (STINGIS) in support of the collaborative initiative Nursing Workforce: Beyond 2000 (NW2K) Consortium. The coverage extends over the 15 South Texas Greater Coastal Bend Region (GCBR) counties. The STINGIS will provide NW2K Consortium's various work group members with access to geographically referenced information concerning the health risk of the population and the composition and capacity of nursing workforce demand in the GCBR over time. The project will provide decision makers with valuable spatial and temporal information through the World Wide Web.
