TERC proposes a panel designed for the purpose of discussing issues affecting four areas of GIS implementation in K-12 education. The areas include software enhancements, curriculum development, pedagogic trends, and in-class implementation strategies. The panelists will include representatives from the previous EdGIS meetings (including an EdGIS 1999 meeting that will precede the 1999 Esri user conference). The agenda for the panel discussion will focus on changes that have occurred in each of the four areas since the 1996 EdGIS meeting and will seek input and recommendations from audience participants on future actions of such focus groups.
