In this study, we examine factors (natural, artificial, and human) in cities that affect earthquake disaster and examine how to estimate damage in Yokohama City based on analysis of past big earthquakes such as the Kanto big earthquake disaster and the Hanshin Awaji earthquake disaster using GIS. We examine how to do damage estimation of not only quantitative analysis but also qualitative analysis and scenario-type damage estimation.
