The Chesapeake Bay Watershed Initiative (CBWI) is a four-year, water quality based scientific investigation by K-12 students involving both in situ and space-based observations of the Chesapeake Bay watershed (CBW). The purpose is to determine the degree to which human activities and weather affect water quality throughout the CBW and the extent to which space-based remote sensing can be used to monitor these actions. How is this effort supported? Can similar projects be replicated in your watershed? What are the resources available to help you?
