In 1998 the state geodesy office started to implement a central database of land cadastre. An Oracle database was selected for attribute data and SDE for Oracle for graphical data. While the attribute data was transferred from a COBOL database, the graphical data is taken regularly from local offices where they update it in the internal format. MapObjects software helps to maintain the database--importing of the data and viewing, analyzing, and exporting selected data. Upgrading of the application to the Internet with the help of MapObjects Internet Map Server is now in the process of development.
