Environmental projects can be difficult to manage given the amount of data generated with long-term monitoring. This paper describes development of an ArcView GIS/Microsoft Access application for use by the China Lake Naval Air Weapons Station in Ridgecrest, California, for water resource management. Historic data on well locations, construction details, and water quality for over 500 wells was verified, normalized, and added to an Access database. A customized ArcView GIS application allows visualization and spatial analysis of the data. The ArcView GIS application also allows visualization of the output from groundwater and contaminant transport analyses performed using models such as MODFLOW and StrataModel.
