The University of Florida's GeoPlan Center, in association with GeoFocus Inc., is developing a complete GIS program to meet the needs of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Turnpike District's National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Municipal Separate Storm System (MS4). The application will handle coverage development, inspections, data tracking, and reporting. The entire program incorporates two different methods of coverage development, utilizing a pen tablet and a Trimble ProXR GPS unit. This paper addresses the Trimble ProXR GPS coverage development method including data dictionary development, field collection, data QA/QC, and importing data into the desktop application.
