The presentation will describe the targeted use of Esri software in the accomplishment and quality assurance of data translation. The presentation will focus on the application of those processes within a large electric facilities ArcStorm database development effort. Specific issues addressed will include use of ArcInfo within the data translation process, use of ArcView GIS as a flexible tool for assuring aesthetic quality and polygonal topology, and use of customized QCView functions synchronized with customer data acceptance processes and criteria.
