Communication on the impact of air pollution from industrial sources that may cause cancer and acute and chronic health effects is one of the greatest challenges faced by a risk manager. How the information is presented to the affected public is as important as the discussions on the health impact of the chemicals released routinely or accidentally into the environment. This paper will deal with integration of the GIS with a computer dispersion modeling program to communicate effectively the magnitude and extent of the impact of the air pollution on the community from industrial sources.
