The advent of Web technology, the increasing use of Web browsers, and requirements for sharing data have created a tremendous demand for applications that utilize Internet technology. Internet mapping applications include those that serve static maps over the Internet and those that allow the user to interact with the geographic data. This paper describes the design and implementation of a MapObjects Internet Map Server application that enables the user to interactively display, edit, and perform analysis on geographic information.
