The Metropolitan Nashville/Davidson County Planning Commission is using MapObjects Internet Map Server technology to provide both public and commercial access to detailed cadastral, ownership, planimetric, and topographic information. Public users can query and view the information free of charge, while commercial users can set up an account to download the data. The paper will discuss Metro's trials and tribulations serving large quantities of data over the Internet to a large number of customers. We will walk through our motives and incentives in getting started to where we are now and what our next steps will be.
