Applications for Web-based GIS systems have been very much limited to spatial database queries. However, since more advanced libraries, such as NetEngine, are available for GIS programmers, Web-based GIS systems are now opened to be more analytical. This paper discusses several network applications for Web-based GIS systems that utilize NetEngine.
