The overall project goal focuses on facilitating use and integration of computer-based simulation models and applications and spatial technologies. Toward this goal, an online, Web-based catalog has been developed and continues to be populated and refined. The online catalog assists users in identifying computer models and applications best suited to their tasks and responsibilities. Users access the catalog for characteristics (metadata) about models and applications (e.g., data inputs, software, uses of model). Metadata about environmental simulation computer applications targets conservation and environmental quality for the Army and civil works programs. Project goals also include links with COTS GIS (e.g., Esri).
