The Form 9 Automation application was developed by Psomas and Associates for the Real Estate Section of the Bureau of Engineering, City of Los Angeles. It is a desktop tool that significantly reduced the time required to process a real estate transaction in the City of Los Angeles as review and approvals are obtained by many departments. This application was developed using Microsoft Visual Basic, Access, and Esri's MapObjects software. In this paper, the overall system design and development will be presented and key procedural issues will be discussed.
