The Orange County Transportation Authority manages railroad rights-of-way requiring tracking of leases, licenses, and property information for real property and improvements. Historical methods of managing this information relied on multiple map and document sources that were difficult to evaluate. Psomas developed an integrated application that brings together multiple information formats into a common application using Visual Basic and MapObjects. Route-based indexing of information mimics ARC/INFO dynamic segmentation features for display and query. In this paper, the overall system design, application development, and key technical issues will be discussed.
