Minerals Exploration Mapping with theEngine Extension
Track:  Mining and Geosciences
Author:   F. Dwight Blevins

GIS can enhance geologic data for minerals exploration as data is compiled into meaningful information. Effective compilation of data can also provide for a successful project review. Assembly of geologic data can be accomplished with ArcView GIS and Geokinetic's low-cost extension, called theEngine. Developing project information with theEngine can thus help create a cost-effective exploration project. ArcView GIS and theEngine provide a compatible format to build coverages, georeference images, contour geochemical data, analyze data relationships, perform three-dimensional visualization, and build CAD drawings into meaningful coverages. Cost-effective data collection through use of theEngine yields to the professional efficient data coordination and success with final project review.
