The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) is the leading information technology consultancy in Egypt, and through its GIS Center (GISC), which was established in 1989, supports ministries and organizations in design, development, and implementation of geographic information systems. GISC provides services and solutions to clients in government and private organizations. In particular, we establish local GIS centers in governorates to assist in local decision making. Also GISC cooperates with other organizations as partners to build their GIS projects. One of these projects with local government is replanning an unplanned Cairo district; from this vision we try to make real information integration by linking different data sets together from different sources. This paper highlights some of these applications.
