This paper addresses the need to better integrate cadastral functions and data with GIS technology and data models. This collaborative effort between Esri, counties, and federal agencies will provide specific tools and data objects to better enable surveyors to collectively build and maintain databases that are more readily available to support applications. The status of this project will be presented and its relationship to surveying and mapping functions will be explored.
