GIS coupled with office automation and the Internet has incredible potential for enhancing communications. Half of the workload for many land managers is associated with communications related to what and where aspects of proposed as well as ongoing activities are. This presentation will examine strategies for using ArcIMS as a tool for distributing information and the potential use of capabilities such as Landscape Analyst to distribute information and trigger requests for actions. When implemented properly, these capabilities will facilitate the flow of information in support of collaborative decision making.
