As part of a two-year Strategic Approaches to Community Safety Initiative (SACSI), the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) Crime Mapping Research Center (CMRC) is working with other Department of Justice agencies and five cities to help them develop a multiagency information system with spatial analysis capabilities at its core. The integrated information system will be supported by various data-sharing agencies ranging from school systems, community resources, and law enforcement. This paper will document the portion of the project related to the development and implementation of the information systems in all five sites.
