The Danish army is developing a new command and control information system based on the SHAPE developed Army Tactical Command and Control Information System (ATCCIS) data model including its replication mechanism (ARM). The system is under development on the following COTS platform: Microsoft Suite including Windows NT and SQL Server. Esri software programs include ARC/INFO, ArcView GIS, MapObjects, ArcView Spatial Analyst, and ArcView 3D Analyst. The system ensures interoperability from brigade to corps level through an efficient distribution of real-time information on the battlefield through the unique and robust replication mechanism thus creating what field commanders want: a common recognized land picture from brigade to corps.
