The Marion County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) has developed an application that can display pertinent map data for mitigation and emergency situations. The program currently comprises seven map-based features: (1) Query addresses to exhibit their proximity to floodplains and fault zones. (2) Create maps that designate current road closures. (3) Display areas affected by current flood inundation. (4) Present flood model results of impending high water extents. (5) Show areas susceptible to damage during seismic activity. (6) View devastation zones that occur with a dam breech. (7) Map the expanse affected by mudflows accompanying volcanic activity. The application has information on the Incident Command System (ICS) protocols and includes EOC personnel names, titles, and contact data.
